Newbie

So I'm going to be leaving school soon (scary thought!) and as I'm not starting uni in September I felt like it was time to start something new and it was a close call between starting to make YouTube videos or starting a blog. Since I don't really know what to make videos on and I am not confident enough either, I decided on starting a blog. Now I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to write on these but having looked at others I've sort of got the jist; so fingers crossed I do it right!

Starting from the beginning, my name is Shannon and I'm 17, however I'm 18 in a couple of weeks! so excited! Going to be having a joint gathering/party whatever you want to call it, with one of my closest friends as her birthday is only a few days after mine so thought we would celebrate together. Being the almost adults that we are, we are having a fancy dress party of course. What better way to celebrate! Of course there will be alcohol as being teenagers we like to have a drink, sometimes a little too much..

Anyway back to me telling you about myself; I have a younger, very annoying and weird, sister who I unfortunately have to share a room with. It can be quite fun, and sometimes its just awful. I sleep talk but she is a deep sleeper so doesn't really notice it, but when she talks in her sleep it can be quite frightening. She's is rather loud. I hate noise when I'm trying to sleep. Obviously it's going to bother me. A few weeks ago I randomly woke up in the night and was lying there on my phone looking at twitter, when all of a sudden my sister starting shouting my name and then she sat up right looked towards me and then said "Shannon?! Are you dead?!". This clearly scared the hell out of me and I didn't really know what to do, but two seconds later she laid back down and carried on sleeping. Like I said; weird.

I would tell you more about myself but then that would take forever and I wouldn't have anything else to blog about. I don't really know if my blog will have a theme but for now I'm just gonna tell you about my daily activities and upcoming events in my life. How exciting, I know! No, seriously. There are things coming up pretty soon that I'm rather excited about. This Sunday I'm going to the Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium and going to see so many artists some I love more than others but it's going to be good nonetheless! Obviously my birthday is one, but the day before my birthday is my school prom which is a good and bad thing as its the last time I'm going to see some of my friends for a while (besides my bday partay) and I'm going to miss them all so much. Then the week after I'm going to Wales for a residential with school and we are going caving. I went last year, cried for the whole trip, but I'm still going this year as it is fun even though there is a lot of darkness and water, which I'm not a fan of either. Once that's over with I don't really have anything exciting until the end of August when I go to Paris with my pals. Obviously going to Disney.But the great thing about the trip is that we are staying in a tree house! yes, you read that correctly, A TREE HOUSE. How cool. I won't give too much about the trip away but it's going to be awesome.

So my mum's just called me and we're going to McDonald's so I shall stop talking now (don't sound too pleased) and leave you be.
